A faculty member will be issued a maximum of three books for the period of fifteen days only & can be reissued thereafter if required.
The Periodicals / Journals & Reference Books will not be issued. If needed, the relevant portion can be xeroxed.
Borrowers are responsible for the documents they borrow. Books/documents lost, torn or damaged (tearing of pages, underlining, making notes, damaging of binding and the like) shall attract serious action including the replacement of books concern. The lost/damaged books shall be replaced by the borrower with latest edition.
Certain books are intended to be used in the library premises. These include encyclopedias, atlas, current and bound periodicals and year books.
Any faculty member proceeding on long leave or vacation exceeding 28 days should return the books that are borrowed.
Library will remain open on all the working days from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Library Rules For Students
The students will be issued books on library cards only.
A student can get two books at a time for a period of seven days only.
After the period of seven days, they will be fined Rs.100/-(Rupes One hundred) per day.
The periodicals/ journals or reference books will not be issued.
The library will remain open on all working days till 5:00pm.
Silence and order must be maintained in the library at all times. An infringement of this rule will be suitable dealt with.
Any person, who losses, defaces or damage a book will be liable to pay the cost of the book at the current price at that time and in the event of the book being one of the set or series, the cost of whole set or series will be recovered if the single book from series lost/ damaged is not available.
Books, those required for occasional reference such as encyclopedias, atlas and year books will not be issued from the library.
Books will be issued strictly on the priority of demand.
During annual stock checking, all books issued must be returned. A student who does not return the books shall have to pay double the charges.
