Oral Pathology and Microbiology

Oral pathology and microbiology is a branch of dentistry that deals with identification of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial region. The practice in oral pathology includes research, diagnosis of diseases using Clinical, Radiographic, Microscopic and other examinations.

Students learn about Dental Anatomy, Embryology, Oral Histology, Pathology, Microbiology and Forensic odontology. In the department of our college we have-

• Separate museum with a variety of specimens.
• Collection of rare case slides for undergraduate students.
• Different types of microscopes including Compound microscope and Stereomicroscope.
• Routine H&E staining.
• Separate lab for Dental carvings.
